The Sandman
Scroll DownWell, the reviews are finally out and they are overwhelmingly positive.
From the casting to the cinematography, the creators of the show did a great job. It’s faithful to the source material, a comic book from the late 80s and early 90s. Surprisingly, this is one of the biggest complaints: the show is so faithful that it doesn’t do much exploring in the amazing world that Neil Gaiman has created. It sticks to the script.
However, there are a few updates to the source material - in particular making some of the characters more diverse. They have also deepened our understanding of the character of Lucienne, Dream’s trusted librarian.
I highly recommend it.
